It has been a few stressful months here about my Father-in-Law (Larry) He hadn't been feeling well for quite awhile and it turned out that he had had 3 strokes. He was sent to the hospital which then we had found out that he had an infection with his heart. The infection had destroyed his mitral valve and soon needed to be replaced. It has been a struggling battle with him. They had put him on anitibiotics and then had to change it when we they found out what kind of infection it was. On the day he was about to go home, Lana had found him having another stroke. Needless to say, he wasn't able to go home that day. Thank goodness he was still at the hospital and not driving anywhere or home alone. Even though when we found out about him having a few strokes before and nobody including Larry, even knew. That was very scary to hear. He was really looking forward to going home. Who wants to be couped up in a small hospital room and not able to go anywhere. He had a couple more severe strokes and that is when they decided to do the open heart surgery on him to get that mitral valve replaced. It was sending more blood clots to his brain causing him to have more strokes. We did not want him to get a really bad one. They ended up doing the surgery on Monday April 13th at around 6pm. That was a real long day and night for them (Larry and Lana). Larry came through the surgery with bells on. He was looking very good when I last saw him on Tuesday morning. They said that he will probably go home in 5 days of having the surgery. AMAZING!!!!
